The Baltimore Orioles are a professional baseball team based in Baltimore, Maryland.The Orioles experienced their greatest success during the late 1960s and early 1970s, winning 4 pennants and 2 World Championships in the six years from 1966 to 1971 behind Hall-of-Famers Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Jim Palmer, and manager Earl Weaver. A third World Championship team was led by Cal Ripken, Jr. and Eddie Murray. In more recent years, however, the Orioles have been best known for their stadium, the trend-setting Oriole Park at Camden Yards, opened in 1992 near the birthplace of Babe Ruth.
